Tips for Running a Music Round

Front-load the easy ones. Open with a couple of universally known songs before working through the decades. It gets teams engaged before the round gets harder.

Don't let one generation dominate. If your crowd skews older or younger, weight the questions accordingly, or make sure every decade from the 60s onward gets a look-in.

Read questions aloud slowly. Song titles and artist names are easy to mishear, especially over pub noise. A written round sheet alongside the spoken questions helps avoid arguments later.
